Jessica completed her Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney, Australia. She obtained her Master's degree in Women’s Health Studies from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Jessica has worked as a frontline physiotherapist in different varieties in both public and private settings before joining Princess Margaret Hospital, Hong Kong Hospital Authority (HA) in 2001. She has extensive clinical experience in various sectors of physiotherapy service, especially in acute care. Her clinical and research interests are in the area of Paediatrics and Adolescence, Women’s health, Oncology, and Palliative Care.

How does it work?
TheTESLAChair™ for Urinary Incontinence
TheTESLAChair™ has been developed for various incontinence treatments. It is helpful in weakened pelvic floor muscles and urinary incontinence treatment using the unique technology of functional magnetic stimulation (FMS). The device generates a pulsed magnetic field that causes the contraction in the pelvic floor muscles. This therapy is 100% effective for all types of fecal and urinary incontinence treatment. FMS is responsible for treating patients with sexual dysfunction and chronic pain in the lumbar spine and pelvic region. The Magnetic stimulation of this pelvic floor chair contributes to the strengthening and endurance of the pelvic area and pelvic floor muscles.
TheTESLAChair™ for Lower Back
TheTESLAChair™ offers a painless, non-invasive, and effective treatment for lumbar region problems. The magnetic waves stimulate the muscles and accelerate circulation without directly contacting the skin.
The patient must sit on the pelvic floor chair to receive the pelvic floor chair therapy, which is also effective for lower back problems. Change the applicator in the back of the chair to precisely target the lower back stimulation.
The impulse inside the electromagnetic mechanism is capable enough to generate a special magnetic field that triggers the body’s motor nervous system. This results in the contraction of the targeted muscles, which helps to stimulate circulation and nutrition.
Pilot study results
These graphics show the results of therapy using the TheTESLAChair™ after 16 treatment sessions. The results were collected in three independent centres with 160 female patients. Thirty-six women were treated for urge urinary incontinence (UUI), 42 women were treated for mixed urinary incontinence (MUI), 61 women were treated for stress urinary incontinence (SUI) and 21 women were treated for urinary incontinence after childbirth.
